Are you displaying the positive habits of entrepreneurs?…

Business owners and leaders don’t watch the clock. They are not wishing their life away praying for the weekend to arrive or to be off on their next vacation. At least not if they want to own a business rather than an ‘own’ expensive job.
If you own your own company are you planning for future expansion? You have to be, all the time. If you are, what actions is your expansion plan telling you to take in the next 7 days? Expansion has a tendency to drift away to little or nothing unless you are constantly working on it and that you know what you need to do in the immediate days and weeks ahead.
If you are an employee and you want to progress your career are you doing the minimum you can get away with or are you constantly demonstrating why you should be considered for greater things? If you are stacking shelves in a supermarket, aim to be the best shelf stacker in the organisation, look the best you can look at all times, suggest ways the process might be improved, help others in their work, demonstrate the attributes of leadership and promotion will not be far away.
If you are a business owner are you leading your team or simply reacting to circumstances you feel are outside of your control? Are you getting the best out of those around you? If not, are you blaming them for their lack of response when maybe you should be honing your skills of management.
Perhaps you take on tasks that others should be doing because you ‘can do it better and faster’. Listen, it may take time to get others to work the way you want them to but unless you go through the pain you will simply be surrounded by staff doing the easy stuff while you take on the hard stuff.
You know the story of the angler; if I give you a fish each day, yes, you will be fed, but if I teach you how to use a rod and line you will be able to feed yourself. Teach your team how to ‘feed’ themselves.
Employee or employer, whatever position you are in, do everything you can to help those around you succeed and your own success will be assured.
