How much is your real estate worth?

If I asked you what you thought was the most valuable real estate in the world what would you say? Would you think of Hong-Kong, Tokyo, London or New York? Would you think high rise buildings, amazing views and acreage?

Let me give you a different perspective in answer to that question. The most valuable real estate in the world is the grey area between your left ear and your right ear. But here’s the thing, the value of that real estate is dictated by you and is totally dependent on how you are cultivating it so that you get the best return from your investment. The activity that goes on within that grey matter will dictate who you are, how you are seen by others, the actions you take and the life you have.

H. Jackson Brown Jr. wrote, “Your mind can only hold one thought at a time, make it a positive and constructive one.”

If you know people who constantly blame the world around them for their lot in life, you should consider helping them see an alternative perspective, the one that they are wholly responsible for and if they choose to see it, great, if not you should consider not having them around you.

If you will succeed or fail this day it will have less to do with external forces but so much more to do with the thoughts you create and the actions that they dictate. If a thought you have is not to look when you step off a pavement the action that might result could possibly make this your last day, but if you choose to look and listen, this could be a great day!

In business the thoughts you choose to create could take you into the path of catastrophe or lead you to the discovery of success that is absolutely waiting for you. But the important word in all of this is ‘choose’.

Everything, good or bad, that happens to you is a result of the thoughts you create and the actions you take i.e. the choices you make. If you want to choose to have success then you need to stimulate the creation of positive thoughts and make that a habit for life. You need to carefully choose the company you keep; are the people around you the sort of people you truly aspire to be like? Do they constantly explore the amazing opportunities that exist and are keen to help you succeed? Do they see the joy in the work they do? Do you? It’s your choice.

Surround yourself with successful people and successful people to be. Filter out negative thinking. Watch out for and avoid those who are only happy when they can spread bad news. Use the power of creative thought. Seek out those who clearly see what is the most valuable real estate in the world and spend as much time in their company as possible.
